The Requirements
The primary responsibility of this role is to perform the activities pertaining to client screening with the objective of identifying if there is a PEP relationship.
Perform client screening
Investigate all the alerts received in the client screening application as per the SOP and within agreed cut-off times.
Use only on screen information to assess & action as per SOP.
Identify potential hits and escalate as per SOP.
Maintain accurate and appropriate documentation for alerts processed.
Monitor queues and ensure that allocated work is completed as per agreed timelines.
Bringing to the notice of the Team Leader any procedural conflicts and system issues / incidents.
To identify process improvements / work out opportunities and implementation of the same
To act as a back up for the other units within AML Ops.
Support additional projects / initiatives implemented within the unit.
Ensure Process SLA -timeliness & accuracy:
Maintain process accuracy at 97% and TAT at 100%
Reduce operational errors by 25% from previous year and thereby contribute to the reduction of operational loss by 10 %
Manage internal and external customer satisfaction:
Respond to queries in a timely manner and ensure no customer complaints are received.
Manage escalations effectively.
Manage operational risks and build a culture of control
Ensure timely completion of mandatory trainings in GPL, SABA, etc.
Adhere to GPF standards without any breaches (PSPS, Record management policy, Infosec etc.)
Ensure all alerts processed pass the AYIC/ICM checks.
Identify & highlight if there are any process and risk gaps.
Technical Knowledge and skills, Self development
Ensure 5 man days of technical and soft skill trainings
Get Cross trained with other processes within AML Ops and become effective back up for those teams.
Ensure personal and professional details are updated in people soft portal at regular intervals
Ensure Self Smarts are in place as per agreed timelines
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate in Management , Commerce
Basic understanding of Banking products & services is an advantage
Basic understanding of AML operations is an advantage
Good Typing skills with speed and accuracy
Attention to details and eye for accuracy essential
Knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
